Genius at Scale: how great leaders drive innovation

In a global context marked by rapid technological innovation, economic volatility, and profound changes in work models, the ability to innovate continuously and at scale has become a strategic priority for organizations. However, innovation does not happen spontaneously: it requires leadership capable of creating the right conditions, guiding the process, and transforming ideas into concrete and lasting value.

In this session, Professor Linda Hill, Leadership professor at Harvard Business School, will present the key insights from her book Genius at Scale, offering reflections on how leaders can guide not only the generation of new ideas, but above all their diffusion and scalability within and beyond organizational boundaries.

In particular, the discussion will focus on:

  • why innovation must be led and the main challenges in moving from ideas to impact at scale
  • the role of co-creation: collaboration, experimentation, and continuous learning as key drivers of innovation
  • the three fundamental leadership roles in innovation: Leader as Architect, Leader as Bridger, and Leader as Catalyst.
