WEBINAR LIVE
“Both/And Thinking”: managing paradoxes for strategic and innovative leadership

In this meeting, participants will have the opportunity to explore the concept of Both/And thinking, an approach that enables innovative ways of addressing tensions in professional life, especially valuable for thriving in a world of complex challenges and conflicting objectives.
The discussion will focus on the ability to transform apparent conflicts—such as the balance between tradition and innovation or individuality and teamwork—into strategic resources for sustainable growth. Practical tools and actionable insights will be shared through real-world examples from leading organizations such as IBM, LEGO, and Unilever, showcasing successful ways to navigate these dynamics.

By the end of the session, participants will have gained:

  • an understanding of the four main types of paradoxes: learning, performance, organizational, and belonging
  • awareness of the limitations of Either/Or thinking and how Both/And Thinking can prevent harmful patterns like overcorrection and polarization
  • practical strategies for managing tensions in organizational contexts, career decisions, and broader societal issues such as diversity and inclusion.
