Reimagining work: building the office of the future

In recent years, the acceleration of remote work and hybrid models has profoundly transformed the way we work and collaborate within organizations. Five years after the pandemic, which turned remote work into a global experiment, its limits and critical issues have become increasingly clear: loss of corporate culture, weakened collaboration, and greater challenges to professional growth, especially for younger generations.

The aim of this meeting is to reflect on how to strategically rethink the role of the office and understand how it can remain, even in the future of work, a fundamental driver of culture, innovation, and people development. Leading the discussion will be Ranya Nehmeh, workplace strategist and author of In Praise of the Office: The Limits to Hybrid and Remote Work (2025).

In particular, the discussion will focus on:
- why hybrid models, despite their initial benefits, are now revealing deep cracks and what risks they pose for organizational cohesion;
- the advantages of in-person work: from collaboration to culture-building, as well as mentoring and career growth;
- leadership strategies for the future: how to avoid recurring mistakes (such as a one-size-fits-all approach or underestimating informal interactions), how to enhance the office as a strategic asset for connection, learning, and innovation, and how to balance flexibility with organizational needs.
